Basic Layout

The layout of the website is divided into three pieces the left hand menu, the main story and page area and the right hand information and picture panel.

The left hand menu contains some basic quick to get to items, the Birthday booking calendar and the member login.

When viewed from the 'Home' menu the centre section is divided up into Sections. Within each section there are a number of categories laid out in the form of news style articles.  Clicking on any section takes you to the articles, some with sub category articles as well.  Our media galleries are very comprehensive and in particular the photos will take time to load. This is to give you the best quality photos we can. The video gallery can be controlled from the player and videos skip or specific ones chosen from the play list that appears when you hover the mouse over it. You may need to start the first video playing to get this feature to work depending on your browser.

The website works best with Firefox but patience with some area is necessary so information from other websites like YouTube can be loaded

Booking Calendar 

The booking calendar allows you to see what sessions/days etc are currently booked for birthdays and other special events. You can book your own birthday/event by clicking on the 'Add Event' link and filling in all the details. Only the basic details of carriage size and session will displayed to the public the rest of the information is held internally for SSR staff use only. Your booking is a tentative booking only and does not appear on the website until it has been confirmed by an SSR staff member. Please ensure you include your contact details and ideally an email address otherwise your booking will not be confirmed. Remember birthdays are only available on Sundays from 11:00 to 13:15 and from 13:45 till 16:00.

The feedback link allows you to provide us feedback on the website, our services during Sundays and anything you would like to see improved.

Media

Our website now provides more media options in our articles as well as a special section where you can view photos and videos on happenings and events around SSR.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication)

RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. Our website now supports this to help keep you up to date.

Donations

A new feature is or donation thermometer. We will use this to allow you to look at special projects we need funding for that you could help use with.  We will provide you a bank account number for direct credits from your own account. We have not engaged paypal so we can keep the service costs as low as possible and until it proves more popular we do not wish to take any financial risks with tools like PayPal. Hopefully you will find this interesting way to support SSR moving forward.
